Annie Hadl, Eudora, and her daughter Taylor, 7, stopped in Burcham Park Friday, June 3, 2011, to see the Kansas River flooding the park. Taylor noticed the high water as they passed over the bridge into downtown Lawrence and the decided to go to the park to get a closer view. The park was closed by the city at 5 p.m. Thursday.
