Members of our photography staff, local photographers and all of you are invited to participate in our Dear Lawrence Community photo project. These are some of the great photos we've received so far, but there's still time to participate. Get out your old photos and your cameras and start submitting. My two brothers, my mother and me on a teeter totter at South Park in the summer of 1951(photo looking east-southeast). This is where and when I learned the concept of balance and relative weights. There is now a wide, flat depression where the playground was then located. Today, the playground equipment is located a short distance to the southwest. Photo by Carole Tomlinson
