Refrigerator Door for July 2011
High-flying career: Nelson Krueger, Lawrence, was honored as a 2011 inductee into the International Forest of Friendship on June 18 in Atchison. Krueger was recognized for his exceptional career in commercial aviation, flight instruction, and public service. He was nominated for the award by the Northeast Kansas Chapter of the 99’s, Maynard Oliverius, his former flight instructor and Fred Hetrick. From left are Nelson Krueger, granddaughters Charlotte and Katherine Stineman, who were flag carriers, wife, Judy, and daughter Jacquie Krueger. Jacquie submitted the photo.
