A group of young people with the Live Real organizations will be traveling by bus from Birmingham to Detroit to raise awareness of food justice. The group was inspired by the 50th anniversary of the Freedom Riders.

City officials explained that the audit is planned for the next five years to take count of what they believe is over 25,000 trees in city parks and along streets to provide a sense of where to devote resources for maintenance.
