Photo gallery: Kansas Half Marathon draws hundreds

A group of runners are framed as they pass under the 23rd Street overpass on the Boroughs Creek Rail Trail in east Lawrence during the Kansas Half Marathon. The route ran through the Haskell campus, east Lawrence and parts of downtown. The annual race is a fundraiser for Health Care Access and drew hundreds of runners.

It has a new coordinator and race director and will start and finish in downtown Lawrence. The event benefits Health Care Access, a medical clinic for low-income Douglas County residents who are uninsured.
