It's very strange the way these two families, so close in a way came together this weekend.. I was friends with both families and for them to meet the way they did is absolutely awful. Ryan was my age and an incredible kid, always willing to lend a hand and never out to do someone wrong. A neighbor for several years and a friend for longer, he will be sorely missed and never forgotten. It hits even closer to home when I hear that Tommys boy was ripped from his arms while he sat none the wiser at a Royals baseball game. His two children were out with grandpa and grandma for a fun weekend when they all crossed paths.. His two children, so close to the same age of my own boy and girl, I just cant imagine what I'd do with myself if I were to ever get that kind of news. I DO KNOW, it would be extremely hard to continue on so what we all need to do now, instead of complaining about barriers and tearing at one another about the highway itself, is come together and pray for these two families that the lord give them strength to keep their heads up and continue to carry on. I know thats what I'd ask of you all, if I were in his shoes...
