The Firebirds recorded their first loss of the 2010 season after giving up a big lead late in the game.

Free State head coach Bob Lisher meets his defense as they walk off the field after surrendering a touchdown to Shawnee Mission West during their matchup Friday night. A blocked extra point would prove costly for the Firebirds, as they lost their first game of the season, 21-20.
