Haskell Indian Nations University students from left, Joe Starks, a freshman, and Caleb Chaffin, a sophomore, participate in a 5K run/walk Thursday November 18, 2010, at Haskell. The event was sponsored by the American Indian Health Research and Education Alliance's All Nations Breath of Life program, which is a smoking cessation program culturallly tailored for American Indians. The ANBL program sponsored the run celebrating those who have quit smoking and encouraging people to quit, and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
From left, Ben Kirtland, Kassie Liebsch, Rodney Jones and Charlette Blubaugh have been charged with stealing tickets from KU. Also charged was Tom Blubaugh, who is not pictured.
Construction crews on Thursday were starting ground work on a new apartment and retail complex going up on the southwest corner of Ninth and New Hampshire streets.
