The first day of spring, Saturday March 20, 2010, wasn't looking so spring-like. About five inches of snow fell in the Lawrence area, leaving a white blanket on everything in sight.
Bicycles sat unused Saturday, March 20, 2010 under about 5 inches of snow outside Gertrude Sellars Pearson Residence Hall at KU.
Ice-covered cows gobbled up corn on March 20, 2010, the first day of spring. The cows, owned by Barney Tabbert, have experienced about five inches of snow in the past half-day.
