A red tent is raised by Lawrence emergency workers during an investigation of a death Tuesday morning at The Oread, a multilevel hotel located near Kansas University. Emergency dispatchers said the death appeared to be from a fall. The call was dispatched at 7:17 a.m. as a medical emergency, said Sgt. Matt Sarna, Lawrence police spokesman.
