How stimulus money is being spent in Douglas County

As of the end of March, more than $60 million has come to Douglas County through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. That money has generated 109.9 jobs, according to ARRA reports.

Kansas University Center for Research received more than $42 million from Recovery Act money. Much of it is being used for research. But, $12 million will be used for the construction of a research building for the School of Engineering.
