Bobbi Rahder, curator of the Haskell Indian Nations University’s Cultural Center and Museum in Lawrence, received the Kansas City Area Archivists’ 2010 Fellow Award on June 17 in an awards ceremony at the Pony Express National Museum in St. Joseph, Mo. Rahder was recognized with the Fellow Award for her years of service to Native American archives and museums — particularly for her work developing the Haskell’s Cultural Center and Museum — and for her dedication to the mentoring, encouragement and training of Native American archive and museum students at both Haskell and Kansas University. The KCAA Fellow Award is granted annually to individuals deserving of special recognition and acknowledgment who have provided exemplary leadership or promoted excellence through their professional achievements on behalf of regional archives, museums, special collections and historical preservation.
