A helicopter trip to the Mendenhall Glacier, outside Juneau, Alaska, offered aerial shots as well as surface landscapes of expansive ice flow. The well lit cabin of the helicopter meant I could expose for the distant landscape yet still maintain detail on the the other passengers.

I positioned myself so I could frame hikers as they jumped across a stream on the Mendenhall Glaicier. Because there where several hikers all crossing at the same point I was able to catch the moment as they stepped across.
