Police investigate McCollum Hall for gun

All available Kansas University police officers and some members of the Lawrence police department were dispatched just before 2 p.m. Friday to McCollum Hall in response to report of a man with a gun at the residence hall.

A law enforcement officer patrols with an automatic weapon in front of McCollum Hall around 2:45 p.m. on Friday, April 30, 2010. Police from several area agencies formed a perimeter around the building and went floor-to-floor searching for a man believed to have carried a gun into the building and possibly making a threat.

Maybe his vest says "Police" on the back or something. But in the photo he looks like a white supremacist militia guy or something.

My question is where is his identification, his badge, the LEO lettering on the vest carrier etc. For all I know, this could be a shooter...
