Police investigate McCollum Hall for gun

All available Kansas University police officers and some members of the Lawrence police department were dispatched just before 2 p.m. Friday to McCollum Hall in response to report of a man with a gun at the residence hall.

At least two ambulances and a fire engine from Lawrence Douglas County Fire and Medical were staged at the Lied Center Friday afternoon in case there were any injuries from the report of a man with a gun on the KU campus. No one was injured as of 3 p.m. Friday.
