A Downingtown, Pa., firefighter touches a steel beam salvaged from the World Trade Center as it arrives Wednesday in Coatesville, Pa. Officials hope to use the steel as the centerpiece of an industrial history museum. Massive steel remnants of the fallen World Trade Center towers returned Wednesday to the Pennsylvania city where they were made more than four decades ago in a solemn homecoming that was never meant to be.
