St. Luke's AME church is undergoing repairs after more than five years of fundraising. Restorations include a new steel cross-gable arch and a new ceiling.

A worker with Wilcott Construction Inc., walks across the peak of the St. Luke AME church roof as crews placed new a steel cross-gable arch to stabilize the historic church. The new-Gothic Revival building was constructed in 1910 and Langston Hughes, one of the most important literary figures of the 20th Century attended the church as a youth.
