Renovating a historic house of worship November 21, 2009
St. Luke's AME church is undergoing repairs after more than five years of fundraising. Restorations include a new steel cross-gable arch and a new ceiling.

The new-Gothic Revival building was constructed in 1910 and Langston Hughes, one of the most important literary figures of the 20th Century attended the church as a youth.
