Lawrence housing market success stories July 13, 2009
In this tough economic climate, selling a house in a reasonable amount of time can seem impossible. However, experts indicate that the housing market is improving.

Jarvis and Sarah Stirn and their 3-year-old daughter Zoie, recently moved into a new home in southwest Lawrence. Considering the slumping housing market, the Stirn's were ecstatic that their old home sold so quickly.
Jim Rome, his wife Lin, and their daughter Linda, kept an eye on the housing market for about a year before settling on a larger, newer home on West 25th Street. When they put their North Lawrence house up for sale they got offers from the first two prospective buyers. "It seemed like the market was moving along pretty briskly," said Rome.
