Kimberlee Bourdon sent in this photo of a snowman that her neighbors built using a piece of cardboard, some buttons, a piece of a carrot and branches from the nearby bushes. It's located on 18th Street between Tennessee & Kentucky in the Birchwood Apartments' parking lot.
Each year, Kaitlyn Fisher, 7, waits for Frosty to reappear with every snowstorm. Kaitlyn discovered Frosty in one of our big snow piles December 29. She just had to dig him out until she found him...and once he was properly attired, he came back to life.
Megan was a good girl this year, so she didn't have any coal handy to use for the eyes and buttons during construction of her snowman family. However, Santa did bring plenty of Hershey's Kisses and Reese's Mini PB Cups that worked just as well. Not Pictured: A tree in the front yard was injured during the snowman-making process...
Phoenix Smith, 5, and her mom made this 'natural' snowman in the front of our home last Sunday, Dec 27th. He has a carrot nose, celery mouth and 2 pine cones, from Alvamar golf course, as buttons. Phoenix was a little hungry after building him and decided to snack on some snow!
Big Snow, Little Man: Jordan Grabast and Dillon McBride pose with their snowman. Lisa McBride submitted the photo.
Heavy snow won't stop Jackfrost Nicklaus from getting in a round of golf. He has golf ball buttons, tee eyes and mouth and a large tee nose. Made by Kyle and Kelsey Consolver on December 30. Ronda Consolver submitted the photo.
The Perrins kids worked "faster than a snail's pace" Wednesday afternoon to construct this giant gastropod in West Lawrence. Kristi Perrins submitted the photo.

This snowman was made by Toby and Austin Crettol with a little help from their aunt and uncle Jay and Mindy King to surprise their grandparents when they got home from work Wednesday, December 30.
The snowman's eyes are made out of cranberries and so is its nose. The mouth is made out of a banana and its buttons are made of clementines. It is a fruit-based snowman!
Allison and Anthony Ramos built this snowman in their backyard on one of the "warmer" days this week.
