Lansing Correctional Facility

Thirty-five years ago on Christmas Eve Priscilla Ann Frey escaped from the correctional facility. Kansas authorities are still baffled by her escape.

On a section of the Lancing Correction Facility, white crosses dot the hilltop overlooking the red roofs in the distance of the former Lansing women's facility. The cemetery is the resting place for inmates that die while incarcerated and there are no families that will claim the bodies. In 1974, inmate Priscilla Ann Frey escaped from the women's section and was never found.
