Lansing Correctional Facility
Thirty-five years ago on Christmas Eve Priscilla Ann Frey escaped from the correctional facility. Kansas authorities are still baffled by her escape.
In February 2006, Lansing Correctional Facility inmate John Manard escaped through this gate hidden inside a dog crate that was in a van. The driver of the van, Toby Young, had help plan the escape with Manard. A corrections officer at the gate failed to search the van. They both were caught in Tennessee 12 days later. In 1974, Priscilla Ann Frey escaped and was never found.
