Turnpike bridge clean-up continues
Crews prepare to pull on structural steel from a former Kansas River bridge. The steel, dropped into the river by explosives Friday, needs to be removed to make way for another blast of more bridge steel, and then construction of a new Kansas River bridge for the Kansas Turnpike. Crews were working on the removal Wednesday morning.
