Behind the Lens: Haley Fischer September 21, 2008
I am 16 years old. Art has always been present in my life, with an artist as a father, I am surrounded with it always. Growing up with messy art rooms, creative paintings on the walls, and loose sketches definitely sparked my interests. I have a variety of art interests but photography has always been my passion. The idea that you can literally freeze a moment forever is extremely powerful. The ability to capture emotions, events, and people is a tool I've fallin in love with. My personal favorite is photographing people. Feeding off their emotions and capturing their instincts in those situations makes creating a captivating photograph easier. These photographs are of my younger sister, Aubrey. I placed her in different situations such as the fireplace, sink, and basement then watched her react- watching her, sparks ideas for me to photograph.
