Take Back the Night
Tanner Willbanks, left, and Andrea Peterson, both of Lawrence, listen to Christie and Curt Brungardt speak about their daughter, Jana Mackey, on Thursday during the Take Back the Night rally at South Park. Mackey was killed by her former boyfriend this summer, and her parents encouraged rally attendees to continue Mackey's work as an advocate for women's rights. Willbanks attended high school with Mackey.
