Katherine Cook's life moves on
With the help of family members and therapists 5-year-old Katherine Cook is recovering from a gunshot wound. Her days are full with kindergarten and physical therapy sessions.

Katherine makes her way down a set of stairs with her mother, JoAnne Cook, and 2-year-old sister Elizabeth during a walk in their backyard, Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008. It was in February that Katherine was found lying at the bottom of these stairs after being struck by the bullet.
