"Modular 3," a home in Kansas City, Kan., built by Studio 804 students at Kansas University. Studio 804 is a group of architecture students led by Dan Rockhill, an architecture professor.
The steel beams on the Newton House west of Lawrence, designed by Rockhill and Associates, were intended to create a contrast with the surrounding grassland.
Rockhill and Associates designed this addition to the home of Robert and Molly Krause to serve as a dining room for their home restaurant in East Lawrence. Dan Rockhill, who owns the company, is known for his striking designs.
"Kansas Longhouse" is designed by Rockhill and Associates. The narrow 24-foot width and length of the home, west of Stull, allow for better natural ventilation.
