Lawrence Douglas County Fire and Medical crews respond to a house fire at 1005 Indiana on Thursday. The fire started about 5:15 a.m.
Lawrence firefighters were called to an early morning blaze at 1005 Indiana about 5:15 a.m. Thursday morning. Four men living in the home escaped, two were injured, one severely. The two-story home received heavy damage and is likely a total loss, fire chief Mark Bradford said.

The four men who lived in the home escaped the fire, which started about 5:15 a.m., however two were injured, one severely.
The fire was brought under control, but occasional flames could be seen around 6:30 a.m. on Thursday.
Indiana Street was blocked off Thursday as firefighters responded to a house fire at 1005 Ind. A ladder truck failed to work at the scene.
