In this file photo from September 2000, Dan and Jill Blomgren read “Where the Wild Things Are” to their 2-year-old son, Miles. Miles had a rare liver disease and was awaiting a liver transplant. He received part of his father’s liver in a successful November 2000 transplant operation. Buy a print of this photo
