The 28th Kansas State Fiddling and Picking Championships took place Sunday, August 24, 2008, in Lawrence's South Park.
Caitlin Walker, 14, Shawnee, practices her mountain dulcimer during the event Sunday. She competed in the miscellaneous acoustic instrument event.
