The stylists arrive! We talk hair and Big Hair. Three of us straddle a bench in the makeup room and go through various stages of pinning, pulling, teasing, corn-rowing, and douses of hairspray.
Gathering back by the picnic table, we get down to business, and take pictures of ourselves in the cardboard cutout of a very nicely dressed couple.

About 11:30 am, Janet delivered the commodities to senior, Christine Johnson. Christine was thrilled to see Janet and was particularly excited that she got apple juice in the delivery. Janet made several deliveries, and all seniors were so very happy to see her and each one had questions about their Medicare or drug prescription plans for Janet. Each visit ended with a big hug and a sentimental bid good bye.

Janet Ikenberry is our Community Services Program Manager. Once a month she delivers commodities to homebound seniors. On May 10th, between 11 and 2 she made her deliveries.

9:00 am at the Senior Center Mrs. Vivian Tubbs is a volunteer with our Senior Meals Department. In this photo, she is helping by putting the butter and whole wheat roll together for our home delivered meals. Each day we serve over 260 meals at our six dining centers and through our home delivered meals to home bound seniors.

Ethan Robison (5) Collects worms for a bird nest he made during a Baldwin Elementery Kindergarten class field trip to Prairie Park. Kindergarten students learned about different kinds of birds, and the "nest" game taught them how much food a bird actually needs to collect to keep its new born babies alive.
I took this photo out at Lakeview lake in the late afternoon. It was flooded over the road, and I was just taking snapshots but this one turned out pretty cool. And that's my nasty foot in the picture.
