Dying racing industry
Greyhounds nudge each other for position as they tear around the track Friday during a late-afternoon race at The Woodlands in Kansas City, Kan. Twenty years after horse and dog racing became legal in Kansas, the industry is struggling to make ends meet, and some say that additional gambling at the tracks is needed to keep them afloat.
