FROM LEFT, THE BOYS ALL-AREA CROSS COUNTRY TEAM includes Baldwin junior Aaron Karlin, Baldwin senior Caj Kueffer, Baldwin senior Chris Elniff, Eudora senior Joey Chino, De Soto senior Tanner McNamara, Wellsville sophomore Derek Poor and Eudora senior Cody Burns. Chris Elniff ¢ Baldwin ¢ Sr. Elniff, the repeat Runner of the Year, finished second at the Class 4A state meet at Wamego in a time of 17:08. He was also second at the 4A regional at Anderson County and won the Frontier League meet.
Cody Burns ¢ Eudora ¢ Sr. Burns finished 19th at the Class 4A state meet at Wamego in 17:56. His top time of the season came at the Southern Stampede, where he clocked 17:19. His best finish was a third at Anderson County.
Joey Chino ¢ Eudora ¢ Sr. Chino finished fourth at the Class 4A state meet at Wamego in 17:12. His three wins included the 4A regional at Anderson County, and he set a personal record with a 16:29 at the Eudora Invite.
Aaron Karlin ¢ Baldwin ¢ Jr. Karlin finished 18th at the Class 4A state meet at Wamego in a time of 17:55. He also turned in sixth-place finishes at the 4A regional at Anderson County and the Frontier League meet at Rim Rock Farm.
Travis McNamara ¢ De Soto ¢ Sr. McNamara finished 13th at the Class 4A state meet at Wamego in 17:40. He also won the bronze at the 4A regional at Anderson County and took fourth at the Frontier League meet at Rim Rock Farm.
Derek Poor ¢ Wellsville ¢ So. Poor finished 19th at the Class 3A state meet in Wamego in 18:05. He finished seventh in a 3A regional meet at Central Heights, and turned in his top time of the season - 17:31 - at the Eudora Invite.
