The bride and groom are both long time McLouth residents are KU graduates and will reside and work in Lawrence. Heidi during her last stay in Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Mo. Brad visited often.

Their wedding ceremony was over and Brad and Heidi Barker had shaken hands or hugged nearly all of the 300 people who had come to McLouth's First Baptist Church to participate in the happy occasion. But, before the happy couple headed downstairs to share their wedding cake they took a minute to bask in the moment.
Before her wedding to Brad Barker, Heidi Karn was held aloft by four of her cousins who ushered for the occasion.
Brad Barker hugs his and Heidi's long time friend and his best man, Jason Owen who they've known since elementary school. Jason toasted the newlyweds.
