When this semester ends, Kansas University assistant professor Darcy Morey will make a quiet departure from KU, an institution that once held promise for a blossoming career until a horrible car accident changed everything.

Darcy Morey's spacious office, in the former Museum of Anthropology KU anthropology gift shop, provides room for a critical piece of furniture - an overstuffed chair. Morey suffered severe injuries in an accident a couple of years back and the chair offers some relief from pain he still experiences. He's frustrated the university isn't helpng him more -- so he's going to the University of Tennessee.
