Shanna Wagner uses glue sealant to protect the encrusted beadwork, jewel and mosaic accents on the "Marvelous Mosaic Floral Fantasy Joyous Jewelhawk Pride Peacock on Parade" she is creating with fellow artists Constance Ehrlich and Karla Nathan for the Jayhawks on Parade event.
Joanne Renfro, who paints childrens' murals for a living, is in the process of painting her Jayhawk, titled "Though we have many faces, we all bleed Crimson and Blue". When finished, the body of the Jayhawk will be covered with hundreds of faces that represent the diversity of life.
Janet Perkins and her jayhawk, "Mardi Gras on the Kaw Hawk." Perkins' bird is sponcered by the Lied Center.
Katie Kring, coats the beak of her Jayhawk, "Plain Jayhawk," with a second coat. Kring will have two Jayhawks in the Jayhawks on Parade in Lawrence.
Kathy Drungilas, shows off her "Puttin' On the Glitz" Jayhawk, which will be on display at Allen Field House. Drungilas, is covering her jayhawk with reflectors for the Jayhawks on Parade which will begin in early April.

Mike Savage, Westwood, created the "A Hawk with a View" Jayhawk that depicts an aerial map and landscape of the KU campus.
