Several national and international newspapers and websites used a recent photograph of mine to represent the nation's 'Polar Vortex.' Miami Herald designer Kevin Scott explains one of the reasons he chose the image. "I think for our readers it served two purposes: accurately portraying what exactly was happening in some major cities throughout the U.S., and the other was to be thankful that you live in south Florida and things aren't so bad."
