
At the Lawrence Police Department's downtown offices, 111 E. 11th St., trash cans and other containers collected rainwater leaking into their computer server room in May, while workers replaced the roof. Police officials say that, apart from problems such as these in the 40-year-old building, the department has outgrown the space it shares with county agencies and should have its own facility.
