Jammie Cochran, Lawrence, carries his daughter Saveia, 18-months, up the hill at the KU Campanile for an afternoon of sledding Thursday with KU students and other Lawrence residents off from school and work. In Lawrence snow began falling just after 7 a.m. Thursday. As of 10 a.m., snowfall estimates in Lawrence were more than nine inches in some areas, according to the National Weather Service.
