Jami Roskamp, a Kansas University master’s student from Sutter, Ill., gets close to look at some of the imagery from the filming of the “The Day After” that’s on display Thursday in the Watkins Community Museum of History. As part of a class project, five students from a museum studies course at KU created the exhibit that shows the 1983 nuclear holocaust film’s far-reaching effect toward raising fears about the threat of nuclear war during the Cold War.
