Pearl Harbor visitors enter the U.S.S. Arizona Memorial, which is built over the sunken remains of the battleship, to experience and pay their respects on Nov. 19, 2011. Of the 2,400 Americans who died in the Dec. 7, 1941, attack on Pearl Harbor, 1,177 were killed on board the Arizona. This year marks the 70th anniversary of the attack, which escalated the United State's involvement into World War II.
