Bullying does not only happen to kids who are gay. Those are the stories that have made the news lately but it happens to lots of kids for a variety of different reasons. I believe that one of the most important things adults can do when kids are really young is point out instances when they are showing bullying behavior, call it by that name and correct it immediately. Then continue to be vigilant. Unfortunately, the kids who are doing the bullying need guidance and support as much as those who are being bullied.
