Family and friends gathered for a vigil to honor three Kansas Army reservists killed in Afghanistan. Spc. Spencer Duncan, Chief Warrant Officer 2 Bryan Nichols and Spc. Alex Bennett were crew members on a CH-47 helicopter when it was hit by rocket fire Monday, August 8, 2011.
