People perform as dead bodies, in reference to a man who was found shot to death inside a shopping cart in a city slum early this week, during a protest Saturday at Copacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro. Criminals drew international attention this week following bloody shootouts that left more than 40 people dead, just weeks after Rio was awarded the 2016 Olympic Games. According to Rio de Paz, an anti-violence non-governmental Brazilian organization, about 20,000 people have died between 2007-2009 because of violence.
