Lawrence police and Douglas County Sheriff's officers take a man into custody at the Jayhawk Motel, 1004 North 2nd Stree,t shortly after noon Thursday. Up to 10 law enforcement officers had surrounded a room at the motel and had it under observation for over an hour before the man was apprehended.
