Debra Clemente, Lawrence, has an art show at the Phoenix Gallery in Topeka through the end of the month. At one point, Clemente had given up painting because of rheumatoid arthritis. Since then she has found a new method of painting that makes it possible for her to paint with less pain. Clemente is shown in front of one of her paintings at Stone Creek Restaurant, 3801 W. Sixth St., which she owns.
