The 19-foot-tall "Typewriter Eraser, Scale X," by Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen stands in view of traffic passing on nearby Elliott Avenue at the Seattle Art Museum's new sculpture park. The museum opened the art park on the downtown waterfront Saturday, bringing a free cultural experience to local residents and telling the world Seattle has something new worth noting.
