
Members of the Cloverfork Missionary Baptist church in Holmes Mill, Ky., gather together in prayer for the five miners killed in an underground explosion Saturday. Though none of the miners were members of the church, the small community is tight-knit and most have connections to the coal industry. The church is less than a mile from the entrance to the mine where the accident occurred.
