Mary Elizabeth Lease, a populist attorney, is one of the famous Kansans featured in "John Brown to Bob Dole: Movers and Shakers in Kansas History." Rebecca Edwards wrote the essay.
Virgil Dean wrote a biography of Walter A. Huxman, pictured with his wife, Eula, for "John Brown to Bob Dole: Movers and Shakers in Kansas History." Huxman served as Kansas governor from 1937-1939 before losing a re-election bid and being appointed a judge on the 10th United States District Court in Topeka.
