Chris Elbrecht, of Mint Detail, a yacht management service, puts about $200 worth of regular gasoline in a boat at Belmont Harbor in Chicago. Elbrecht paid $3.58 a gallon for the fuel. Analysts say that despite a surge in gasoline prices demand has not fallen significantly. High energy prices are expected to drive up heating costs this winter.
